Knowledge-Based Business Incubator

CF Westman announces first ever business incubator in Brandon

Community Futures Westman is excited to promote the first ever business incubator in Brandon! It will be located at 940 Princess Ave and was funded through the federal Community Adjustment Fund (CAF) and Renaissance Brandon.

The primary focus of the knowledge-based business incubator will be on technology entrepreneurs building ventures with growth potential. This program is designed to accelerate the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support. A business incubation program increases the likelihood that a start-up company will stay in business long-term.

The 4000 square foot incubator will have 12 offices, facility space, common office equipment, business assistance and guidance, mentoring, networking to capital, and other technical resources. There are numerous benefits to the Brandon-based incubator which include new job opportunities and better leverage intellectual property from BU, ACC, and other research institutes. The business incubator plans to open its doors to entrepreneurs in May 2010.
