Senior Students Business Workshop

This workshop focused on Youth Entrepreneurship and provided insight into the reality of owning and operating your own business. Locaed at the Victoria Inn at Branndon MB.

In the morning – Students learned from a successful business owner, Mr. Ryan Lamont of Forbidden Flavours, about what it's really like to operate a business. They will also develop a business plan with other students in their group.

In the afternoon – The groups presented the highlights of its business plan to other students who posed as investors in the business – and they asked tough questions! But the roles reversed so they had a chance to be the hard-nosed investor in the other businesses.

Students were broken up into three (3) rooms, each with four (4) teams of eight (8). Each group of eight worked together to develop their business plan, which were judged by the other teams in their respective rooms. The top team from each room then competed against each other and were judged by a panel of Industry Experts. For more information on this workshop please contact Wheat Belt CFDC's office.
